The production process of PE pipes is as follows:

  1. Mixing and drying

The function of mixing and drying is to mix, dry and blend PE resin and masterbatch to obtain uniform raw materials.

  1. Plasticizing and extruding

The raw materials are fed from the hopper to the extruder. After transportation, compression, melting and homogenization, the solid granular materials gradually change into a highly elastic state, and then gradually change into a viscous fluid (viscous flow state) from a highly elastic state, and continue to extrude.

  1. Mold forming

At a suitable temperature, the material extruded from the extruder changes from a rotary motion to a linear motion according to the filter plate and enters the mold. After spiral separation, it is fused and compacted into a tubular blank in the forming section, and finally extruded from the die.

  1. Cooling and shaping

The hot blank extruded from the mold is shaped and cooled by the sizing sleeve vacuum sizing box under negative pressure, and then the inside of the pipe is slowly cooled by the spray cooling box, so that the whole is dry and fixed.

  1. Cutting

Under the control of the meter wheel, the pipe is cut to length using the planetary cutter.

  1. Stacking and packaging

The cut pipe is pushed to the turning table, inspected, packaged, and then transported away.

The above are the operating steps of PE pipes during production. When producing PE pipes, the above process is essential. However, the following should also be noted during production operations:

  1. Common problems in feeder operation

The suction time should not be too long; the filter should be cleaned frequently; the micro switch should be monitored to see if it is normal.

  1. Common problems in dryer operation

(1) Turn on the fan first and then turn on the heater.

(2) The best air drying effect can be achieved when the barrel is full.

(3) The air drying temperature of PE material is about 80°C.

(4) The temperature control instrument displays the difference between the actual temperature and the set temperature. When the displayed temperature is zero, the actual temperature is the same as the set temperature.

(5) Principle of bimetallic thermometer: Use two materials with different expansion coefficients to measure the temperature according to the degree of deformation.

(6) Control the direction of air flow.

(7) The air inlet must not be closed.
